Set right alongside the pretty East Lyn gorge down by Lynmouth, this lovely B&B hosts the memory of Captain Jack Cocombe and his famous ship rescue off Portlock. I sat in a sweet little, flower gem strewn patio out front.
A giant, moderately flavoursome, bagged tea pot arrived accompanied by two homemade, warm, sweet, donut-consistency and flavoured (I wouldn’t be surprised to hear a packet mix was involved), soft scones. Softish Cornish clotted cream and a mixed fruit, ultra-sweet, highly homogenised, (possibly with alcoholic hints?) jam joined in.
